Kincaid Radio Controlled Clock Instruction Manual Model: [Insert Model Number] Power: 2 x AA / AAA Batteries (not included) / AC Adapter (select models) 1. Introduction Thank you for choosing the Kincaid Radio Controlled Clock. Your clock is equipped with a built-in receiver that synchronizes automatically with the official WWVB (USA) / MSF (UK) / DCF-77 (EU) atomic time signal. This ensures your clock is always accurate to the second, automatically adjusting for Daylight Saving Time (DST) and leap years. 2. Getting Started Step 1: Insert Batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back. Insert 2 fresh Alkaline batteries according to the polarity (+ / -) marked. Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries (they have lower voltage).
Step 2: Initial Movement
The second hand will move forward to the 12:00 position (or the hands will spin to a parked position). The clock will immediately begin searching for the radio signal (indicated by a flashing tower icon or a moving second hand). kincaid radio controlled clock instruction manual
Step 3: Wait for Synchronization
Do not touch the hands or move the clock for the first 3–12 minutes. The clock will automatically set itself to the correct time (usually 12:00, 4:00, or 8:00 before catching the signal). Once the signal is received, the hands will fast-forward to the correct local time.
Signal Icon Legend:
Solid Tower Icon: Last sync successful (last 24 hours). Flashing Tower Icon: Actively searching for signal. No Icon: No sync yet or manual mode.
3. Setting the Time Zone (Crucial Step) Because the atomic signal is Universal Time (UTC) , you must tell the clock your local time zone.
Locate the "TIME ZONE" switch or button on the back of the clock. Slide the switch to your region: This ensures your clock is always accurate to
P = Pacific (UTC -8) M = Mountain (UTC -7) C = Central (UTC -6) E = Eastern (UTC -5) AK = Alaska / HI = Hawaii (select models)
If your clock does not have a switch, press and hold the "SET" button and use the +/- buttons to scroll to your zone.
