Isma'il Wali Shamsuddeen al-Bayanpuri (1874-1940) was a distinguished Indian Islamic scholar, born in the city of Bayanpur, India. He was an expert in various Islamic sciences, including Quranic exegesis (Tafsir), Hadith, and Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh). Al-Bayanpuri's Tafsir Ruhul Bayan is considered one of the most important Quranic commentaries in the modern era.
