Justin.tv was the Wild West of the internet. It had no algorithms, no content ID, and no corporate polish. You could watch a man build a rocket in his backyard, switch to a live protest, then finish with a Turkish soap opera—all without an account.

Long before Twitch became a billion-dollar empire, and before Instagram Live or YouTube Streams were polished, there was Justin.tv. Launched in 2007 by Justin Kan and Emmett Shear, it started with a single crazy idea: strap a camera to Justin’s hat and livestream his entire life 24/7. It was "lifecasting." Boring, weird, and revolutionary.
