In the year 2028, multinational conglomerate is at the forefront of robot technology. After Detroit police officer Alex Murphy is critically injured in a car bombing, OmniCorp CEO Raymond Sellars (Michael Keaton) sees a golden opportunity to bypass anti-drone laws by putting a human "inside the machine".
