"The Revenant" is a 2015 American epic historical drama film directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu and produced by Aram R. Sarkisyan, James Deakins, and John Reddy. The film stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, and Domhnall Gleeson. The movie is based on the 2009 novel of the same name by Michael Punke, which was inspired by the real-life experiences of Hugh Glass, a fur trapper and explorer who was mauled by a bear and left for dead in the early 19th century.
Against all odds, Glass survives and embarks on a perilous journey to seek revenge against those who betrayed him, including John Fitzgerald (played by Tom Hardy) and Jim Bridger (played by Domhnall Gleeson).
